Artpoint Gallery & Studios Society, formerly called the Calgary Point of Art Society (1991), was incorporate under the provisions of the Societies Act in 1998. Formed by artists, it is a non-profit artist-run studio gallery supporting and promoting visual arts and art education in the Calgary community. It is one of the largest artist run cooperatives in North America. Our newly renovated building in historic Ramsey-Inglewood is home to 23 studios and 3 galleries featuring works by over 50 members and visiting artists. Works range from traditional portraiture and photography to contemporary paintings, miniatures and large scale wood and iron sculptures.

Membership

An annual membership fee entitles members to participate in hallway exhibits, Artwalk and other group shows. For those willing to volunteer in the operation of the society and gallery, the annual fee is $130.00. Non-volunteering membership is $300.00 per year. New members are juried into the Society three times a year: in January, May and September.

Members have access to gallery space for a three to four week solo or group shows free of charge, annually. Members also have the use of this website to display portfolios.

Artists looking for gallery space and involvement in a stimulating environment are invited to contact the Artpoint office. Members of the society offer classes and workshops in a variety of media.
